Baby Blanket Solution?

I am STILL working on the baby blanket that was meant to be a Christmas present for my nephew. That blanket is the bane of my knitting existence right now. Since you all know I have a problem with gauge and knit "on the large size", this blanket is practically the size of a comforter. My biggest dilemma now is whether to rip out months of work and start over making it much smaller than it is now, or just finishing it up? I have just one skein left of Wool Ease Thick and Quick left to knit, and honestly the stuff only takes 2-3 a skein. So 2-3 hours and mail a package the size of a king bed coverlet or start from scratch??? The other blanket will make it to my niece by her first birthday next month (yes that blanket has been finished since September).

I just want to knit for me!

Alas, someday I will do that.

Resurrection

I suppose it's time to dust off this blog and get rolling again. Not much to add to our chit chat, except the fact that I am still knitting baby afghans. It's time for the baby making to halt for awhile if you ask me. I'd like to knit something else for myself. And boy oh boy do I have some ideas. I've really enjoyed rifling through the Knitting and Crochet Pattern-A-Day calendars. The sushi tp cover and crocheted Buddha were the bomb.

Presenting Dr. Figaro

I laughed really hard over this article. I wonder if I should get my cats a MBA or an PHD. Bogus online degrees really are a problem these days. But when I think about it, maybe fictitiously teaching at a fictitious educational institution would be easier than the real thing.

You need to check out today's Dead Parrot Society. That's where I first read the cat article. These guys always have interesting things to say.

The Literal Truth

Newsweek has an interesting article on how many Americans believe that The Bible is the literal Truth. In particular, it appears that about 3/4 of all Americans believe that the Virgin Birth is the truth. It seems that when Linus speaks from the good book in A Charlie Brown Christmas, which airs tomorrow night, most people take it literally word for word. Take that for what it's worth.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

I am going through withdrawl. I have been unable to access my email for the past two days. It is so sad and is driving me crazy.

I now have a pair of Bad Kitty pajama's. Being 32 is pretty cool. I don't ever have to grow up if I don't want to.
